Unlocking the Economic Value of IT

Exigen Group chosen by Aberdeen Group to Exemplify Fundamental Changes in the Global IT Market

San Francisco, Calif. — Exigen Group, a global business process solutions company, today announced that it has been recognized by the Aberdeen Group, a market analysis and positioning services firm, as a company fundamentally changing the global IT industry. In Aberdeen's recent report, "A Buyer's Guide to the Russian Software Development and Services Export Industry," Exigen is profiled along with 12 other service providers as a company paving the way of offshore outsourcing services to the region and as a leading contributor of innovative business processes on demand.

The report stated that, "Exigen's focus on industry-specific process solutions, its adaptable software life cycle approach and its balanced on-site/off-site/offshore service delivery model, allows the company to exemplify the fundamental changes going on in the global IT industry. Driven by customer demands and current economic conditions, a large and growing number of ISVs and services suppliers are focusing on business process integration and automation solutions, and, at the same time, offering hosting and managed services as alternatives to traditional software licensing schemes. Meanwhile, mainstream IT consultancies, systems integrators, and outsourcers are incorporating offshore delivery into their business models while established offshore companies move up the industry value chain. Exigen's business model incorporates, and in some cases, anticipates these seemingly diverse trends."

"We're proud to be selected by Aberdeen as a market leader and to be able to represent a growing list of Russian offshore IT services companies that significantly help contribute to the IT changes in the region," said Alex Poberezhsky, general manager of outsourcing at Exigen Group. "We're an established U.S.-based company that focuses on outsourcing non-differentiating processes that allow customers to reduce costs while simultaneously focusing their resources on developing new core assets. Our affiliation with Moscow State University and Riga University in Latvia, to which we provide financial and educational resources, is a clear sign of our commitment to contributing to IT changes in the region."

Aberdeen Group surveyed 50 companies that maintain offshore development centers in Russia, outsource to Russian or hybrid U.S.-European/Russian service suppliers, and/or collaborate with Russian software designers and engineers in other countries.
