Exigen Inks Contract With Moscow State University

San Francisco, Calif. — Exigen Group today announced the first contract with Moscow State University (MSU) to design, build and install a new Integration Information System for Russia's premier higher education institution. Exigen will lend its business expertise and software to build the new system that will serve as the information and processing hub for the University's knowledge and administrative tasks.

The new information system will optimize all internal and external processes for MSU, streamlining its existing environment and delivering greater efficiencies. The initial stage of the project will optimize central planning in the University's financial department by centralizing accounts, human resources functions such as personnel management, and selection of personnel for key projects. It also involves the department of management and administration which pertains to administrative document circulation. The initial phase of the project will cover 19 university departments and serve over 8,000 MSU employees and 10,000 students.

This contract builds on the agreement that Exigen signed with MSU last year to create an Information Technology Outsourcing and R&D Center to service a global marketplace. Under that agreement the University and Exigen plan to rollout several initiatives over the next five years. MSU and Exigen will move toward establishing solid, state-of-the-art business systems within the University which will make life easier for both staff and students. The deal will free up resources that can then be funneled to enhancing the already outstanding education offered by MSU.
