San Francisco, Calif. — Exigen Group, the global business process software and services provider, has been listed in the Challenger Quadrant in Gartner, Inc.'s latest Pure Play Business Process Management (BPM) Magic Quadrant, 2Q04*. BPM software forms part of Exigen's proposition, which includes services such as outsourcing, Business Process Utilities™ and consultancy.
Produced by Jim Sinur, VP Distinguished Analyst at Gartner, the Pure Play BPM Magic Quadrant, 2Q04 evaluates over 50 vendors in the sector. Exigen Process Backbone is software focused on BPM capabilities, as well as industry-specific templates tailored to procedures within industries such as banking, brokerage, capital markets, insurance and government.
The report highlights the growing trend for application-rich vertical sector templates as a key strength and notes these are likely to be major long-term drivers for BPM.
"We feel it's a testimony to the strength of Exigen Process Backbone that we're listed in the Challenger Quadrant by Gartner in the BPM Pure Play Magic Quadrant," said Mark Christiansen, VP of Marketing at Exigen. "Exigen's competencies stretch beyond the remit of this space into industry expertise and outsourcing solutions. Our customers are coming to us for that combination of domain knowledge and global capabilities, as well as our BPM software solutions."
According to Gartner, Inc. vendors listed in the Challengers quadrant execute well today, but have a less-defined view of market direction and, therefore, may not be aggressive in their preparation for the future.
